I began my journey as an educator 14 years ago in a neighboring district.  Throughout my career in education I have served as an elementary and middle school teacher, as well as a mathematics instructional specialist.  I have loved growing professionally in the best district in the Houston area for the past  8 years.  This year will be my second year as Assistant Principal at Timber Creek Elementary.  I am passionate about relationships and the power they carry in all aspects of education.  I truly believe that our time with the students of Timber Creek Elementary is a gift, as we get to spend the foundational years with them as they learn who they are.

In addition to my time with the students of Timber Creek, I am also a proud mom of two Timber Creek cougars!  My husband and I made the decision to send our own children to Timber Creek Elementary because of the amazing group of educators and supportive community.  We are TIMBER CREEK!!!

I began my career in education over 30 years ago when I moved from Nebraska to teach first grade here in the Houston area.  Over the years, I have had many fabulous opportunities- teaching all grades PK-5th grade, serving  as a Language Arts Instructional Specialist, testing coordinator, district curriculum coach for PK,K and first grade,  and an elementary assistant principal. For the past three years, I was one of the counselors at Creekside Park Junior High. I am delighted to be returning to my elementary roots. Timber Creek is an amazing school community and its going to be a fabulous year!

My husband and I are proud parents of four sons. To date, we have a lawyer, a TV producer , a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Houston and a senior at Tomball High School. It is so true that “the days are long, but the years are short.”

 It is an honor to assist all our students and families.  I look forward to meeting and working with all our Timber Creek community this year!
