All About Mrs. Shockley

Hello! My name is Kristin Shockley; I am pleased to be your child's first grade teacher. This is going to be my 16th year teaching in Tomball ISD. I spent 14 years at Decker Prairie Elementary, and this will be my 2nd year at Timber Creek. I taught 2nd grade for 12 years, but I've also taught 4th grade, and Pre-K/Kinder. I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade again this year!!

I graduated from Tomball High school in 1999. Then, I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education....Gig 'em Aggies....WHOOP!! I absolutely love school myself, and can't wait to pass my passion for learning on to you.

I was born in Selma, Alabama but moved to Houston before I was even a year old. I still love to visit Alabama, but I am a true Texas girl at heart! Texas is the best place to be and is definitely what I call HOME!

When I am not teaching, or planning awesome things for us to do at school....I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kevin, family, and friends. I also love shopping, reading, being pool-side, dining out, and playing with my own kids! My daughter, Laney, is 11 and my son, Kason, is 4. You will probably see me out and about with my family, as we live very close by!

Parents, please feel free to email me anytime- kristinshockley@tomballisd.net or leave a message on my voicemail, 281-357-3060, ext. 4646.  I look forward to hearing from you and working together to help your child succeed academically.

We will slowly begin to send items home this week so that your child's backpack is not completely loaded on the last day of school - please help your child empty their backpack daily so we can send more home :)
