Objectives for the week of August 16-19
I hope you all enjoyed these last few days of summer! It was so great to meet many of you at our Meet the Teacher event last week.
I'm sharing some suggestions to help your child have a smooth start tomorrow:
We have snack time daily around 2:30. Children may bring a small snack (preferably nut free and does not require the use of a utensil to eat).
Water bottles are encouraged (preferably with a pop top or lid), please label it with your child's name.
I encourage you to keep a change of clothes in your child's backpack at all times (sometimes they have accidents, slip in mud, end up wearing their lunch).
Most Sundays afternoons I share the learning objectives for the week. Our objectives for the first week of school will be to build our classroom community and relationships. I am so ready to get back to what I love doing, teaching and being with the kids! If your child came to Meet the Teacher, make sure they open their card up Monday evening so they can tuck their "Ready Confetti" under their pillow. I am also sharing a bedtime story to hopefully get them excited about joining us on Tuesday! The Night Before First Grade
*Students that were unable to make it to Meet the Teacher will have their card waiting on their desk when they come to school Tuesday.
