Welcome to 5th grade!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Brenda
Abrams and I'm honored to be your child’s 5th grade teacher. I am an Iowa
State University graduate and this will be my 34th year of teaching and 8th
year in Tomball ISD.

During my vacation, I enjoy spending time with family and traveling. Each year,
we try to visit a new location, but traveling to the warm islands of Hawaii is
still one of my favorites. There is something about listening to the ocean
that makes a relaxing vacation.

My family values education and believes that it opens many opportunities for
the future. My husband and I have two daughters that have recently completed college. Our oldest, Emma, finished her Doctorate and Masters Program at Texas Tech University in biology. Kelcie, the youngest, graduated from Texas Tech University last December and is currently working at The Response Group. We love them dearly and are very proud of their efforts. So please know that your child’s best interests are my first priority throughout each and every school day.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her
own full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences this year with opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Abrams

End of Year Information

Good Morning 5th Grade Parents!

I just wanted to give you a heads up regarding the letter that will be coming home in THIS Wednesday's folder. I will be doing a 5th grade slideshow for their 5th grade celebration ceremony the last week of school. I am asking that EVERY 5th grade student sends in a current picture and a baby pic (around ages 0-3 years). The images need to be in a JPEG format through e-mail. If you can't e-mail them, please send in the originals, and I can scan them in for you! The deadline for photos is May 11th, which is NEXT Friday.

Also, since this is the group of kids that opened the school in 2012 when they were in Kinder, I am asking those students that opened our school in Kinder to send in their KINDER yearbook photo or a photo of them starting Kinder. We will be doing something with those photos as well!

Please e-mail all of the pictures to BOTH of these addresses to make sure that I receive them: britneyculver@tomballisd.net and britney.culver@yahoo.com. I am having issues with the school servers blocking things, and I want to make sure that I receive them. I will ALWAYS reply back stating that I have received them, so if you don't hear back, feel free to call me at the school EXT 4675.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks!
