All About Mrs. Tannehill

Howdy! I am so excited to be a part of the Timber Creek Family. As the Academic Specialist, I am lucky to support both our dyslexic students and our staff.
I was born and raised in the Houston area. My family spent the last few years living in the Texas Hill Country, but we are excited to be back in Tomball this year.  I graduated from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and got my Master's in Education from the University of St. Thomas.
I am currently beginning my 16th year in education and my real passion is literacy!  Over the years, I have taught seventh grade, fourth grade, second grade, college freshman, and adults as well as having had various leadership opportunities such as: ELA team lead, teacher certification instructor and coordinator, and instructional coach.
My husband, Robert, and I have three girls that attend Tomball ISD schools.  Heidi is thirteen years old, loves to play soccer, and is in eighth grade.  Brooke is ten years old, loves gymnastics, and is in fifth grade. Scarlett is seven years old, loves soccer, and is in second grade at Timber Creek. We also have a rescue dog named Dexter and two outdoor, adventurous cats.
When I am not at school I enjoy spending time near water, gardening, exploring new hiking trails, and spending time with my sweet family.
