Shape Museum

Hi Parents!
The following note will go home in your child's blue folder tomorrow. I just wanted to give you a forewarning.
Thanks!

We are going to create a 3D Kindergarten Shape Museum!

I challenge you and your child to search your house for examples of 3D shapes and bring them to school.  We want our students to recognize shapes in the real world.  We will be talking about the shapes that the kids bring in and asking questions: What shape is it?  How do you know?  What do you see?  This will help them to really understand the attributes that the 3D shapes have.

We are looking for cubes, spheres, cylinders, and cones.

Please send at least 1 example by Monday, October 5th.

Wednesday folders are sent home on Wednesday and should be returned the following day. These contain information from the School that you are being made aware of or papers that need to be signed and returned.
Please let me know if  you have questions.
