Hi! I am excited to be the GT Specialist for Creekview Elementary and Timber Creek Elementary this year. This is my first year with Tomball ISD. I completed my undergrad work at Baylor University and a master's from the University of Houston in Counseling Psychology. This is my fourteenth year in public education, with experience ranging from 5th grade self-contained, 6th grade math, to kindergarten ESL. For the past 3 years, I have served as a school counselor. This past year, in addition to working as a school counselor and building a small private practice, I have also done some work within the Advanced Academics Services Dept. and the Strategic Initiatives Dept. in my former district. Some of my favorite things are playing chess with my two sons, travelling, road trips, finding new shows on netflix, culinary explorations in the kitchen, hiking, finding new hobbies, reading the latest research about natural health, along with occasionally acting in commercials when the opportunity arises. I absolutely love Tomball ISD. I moved here from Houston last year so that my children could attend elementary school in Tomball. I have a passion for working with GT students and look forward to an exciting year!
Good morning Timber Creek Parents,
All students in Grades 2 - 5 will be coming home this afternoon (in their homework folders) with a letter about UIL Team tryouts. This year's tournament will be held on Saturday, January 9th. Team members need to be prepared to commit to a weekly practice before or after school (day & time determined by the team coach), independent study/practice at home, and attendance in the January 9th tournament. Tryout forms are due back next Wednesday, Oct. 7th. Tryouts will be held the following week. Each event can have 1 team consisting of 3 members and 2 alternates per grade level. Looking forward to some UIL fun!!
