Welcome to Second Grade!

Here is a little about me....

This will be my ninth year teaching, and I am happy to be able to share it with your child. I feel blessed to be able to loop with my first grade class and spend another great year with them. I like to make school a fun and positive experience. I graduated from Tomball High School. I received my bachelors from Sam Houston State University.  My family consist of my husband, our dog Sophia and Baby Pinto on the way.
Time is one of my favorite things, because you have the choice of what to do with it. I use my time wisely and effectively. Time with family and friends is super important to me.
I love to read. I am the leader of a book club.
I like yoga and long walks with Hector and Sophia. I love the beach. I love traveling. I love to collect memories.

My Favorite Things:
Color: Turquoise
Starbucks: Super into iced and sweetened Passion Tea right now!
Sonic: Arnold Palmer (1/2 tea, 1/2 lemonade)

Parents, I'm excited to have you be a part of my TEAM! I believe the best way to achieve our students goals is working as a team and with the help and support of you, the parents. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or questions please call me or write me email. I am at your service. Let's have a BLAST learning and growing together this year!

Change of date for Reading Test

Happy Thursday!

We have decided to push our Reading Procedural Text Assessment scheduled for tomorrow to next Tuesday 2/28/2017.  We feel that this will allow the students more time to grasp all concepts and be ready to do their best on the test.  The test will cover aspects of procedures that align with a reading passage that we are currently using in class.

Also remember to study the spelling words for tomorrow's test.  We as a class are trying to increase our 100's on the test each week.  This week's spelling list is contractions which also happens to be our challenge word.  I am excited to see how many 100's we achieve.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Take care and have a great rest of your week!
